Terms of Use

Last updated: October 22, 2026

These terms govern your use of the ChargeGuild website, mobile app and related services (together, the “Service”). By using the Service you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use it.

1. What the Service is

ChargeGuild is an information service: a directory of EV charging stations and networks, an EV catalogue, accessory listings, calculators and a trip planner, plus a service for requesting EV charger installation quotes. We aim to keep information accurate, but it comes from many sources and changes often.

2. Information is provided “as is”

Station details such as location, connectors, power, pricing, hours and status are directory information. They are updated periodically and are not live availability. A charger may be occupied, out of service, restricted or priced differently from what we show. Vehicle specifications, prices and ranges come from manufacturers and other sources and may change. Always confirm details with the network or manufacturer before you rely on them. Listing a station, network, product or vehicle is not an endorsement.

3. Estimates and safety

Our calculators and trip planner produce estimates. Real charging time, cost and range depend on temperature, driving style, battery condition, traffic, charger sharing and many other factors. Plan journeys with a safety margin and don’t rely on the Service as your only source when your safety depends on it. Don’t use the app while driving. Charging equipment and electrical work involve real hazards: use charging equipment according to its manufacturer’s instructions, and have electrical work done by a qualified professional.

4. Accounts

If you create an account, give accurate information, keep your password secure and tell us if you think it has been misused. You are responsible for activity under your account. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.

5. Reviews, comments and other content you submit

You keep ownership of what you submit — reviews, comments, corrections and claim information — but you give us a free, non-exclusive, worldwide licence to host, display, adapt and distribute it as part of the Service. You confirm you have the right to submit it. Content must be truthful and based on your own experience, and must not be unlawful, defamatory, abusive, misleading or spam. Don’t post fake or paid reviews, and don’t review your own business or disparage competitors. We may moderate, edit or remove content at our discretion.

6. Claiming a listing

You may only claim a listing if you are authorised to act for the owner or operator. We may ask for proof, may decline or revoke a claim, and may correct or remove information that is inaccurate or misleading. You are responsible for the accuracy of anything you submit about a listing.

7. EV charger installation requests

  • Requesting a quote is free and doesn’t oblige you or us to proceed. A request is not a contract.
  • Any price we give is an estimate until you receive and accept a written quote. Final pricing depends on the conditions at your site, such as the electrical panel, distance, permits and access.
  • Installation is arranged through us and carried out by qualified installation professionals. The work, its price, timing and any warranty are set out in the written quote or agreement you accept, which applies together with these terms.
  • You are responsible for giving accurate information, providing access to the site, and obtaining any permission needed from a landlord, HOA or building owner.

8. Links and affiliate relationships

The Service links to third-party websites, networks and retailers that we don’t control, and we are not responsible for their content, products, prices or policies. Some links are affiliate links, explained in our Affiliate Disclosure. Purchases from retailers are a contract between you and the retailer.

9. Acceptable use

You agree not to: scrape, harvest or copy the directory or catalogue by automated means or in bulk without our written permission; misuse or overload the Service or its API; attempt to break, bypass or reverse-engineer its security or the app; use the Service to send spam or for unlawful purposes; or impersonate others.

10. Intellectual property

The Service, including its design, text, software and the way the directory and catalogue are compiled and organised, belongs to us or our licensors and is protected by law. We give you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service as intended. Network, brand and vehicle names and logos belong to their owners and appear for identification only.

11. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent the law allows, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including accuracy, availability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don’t guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for lost profits, data or opportunities, arising from your use of the Service, including relying on a charger, route or estimate. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for the relevant service in the previous 12 months or US$100. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that can’t legally be excluded or limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence or for fraud.

13. Indemnity

You agree to cover reasonable losses we suffer because of content you submit or your breach of these terms, to the extent permitted by law.

14. Suspension and termination

You can stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms or put the Service or others at risk. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will do so.

15. Changes

We may update the Service and these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version, and continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept it. If a change is significant we will make that clear on the site.

16. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where ChargeGuild is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and the courts there have jurisdiction, except that mandatory consumer protection laws where you live continue to apply.

17. Privacy and contact

How we handle personal information is described in our Privacy Policy. Questions about these terms: support@chargeguild.com or our contact page.
