About Walmart

Walmart operates a growing company-owned and operated EV fast-charging network at Walmart and Sam’s Club locations across the United States, designed to provide convenient charging while customers shop. As of August 2026, Walmart had 100 EV fast-charging sites across 20 states, with most locations offering 8–16 DC fast-charging stalls capable of up to 400 kW and supporting both CCS and NACS connectors.

Drivers can use the Walmart app to locate chargers, check charging status, scan station QR codes, start sessions and pay, while Walmart+ members receive discounted charging rates. The network primarily serves public EV drivers and benefits from Walmart’s extensive retail footprint, with chargers positioned near stores, shopping, restrooms and other amenities. The U.S. Department of Energy currently lists 838 Walmart charging ports.
